EDUCATION
Empowering the future of Malawi,
one child at a time
Malawi faces significant educational challenges with 33% completing primary and 15%completing secondary school. We address this with a nursery program and secondary education sponsorship for orphans.
How we help
Nursery School
We operate a nursery school in Monkey Bay to ensure children have the best start to their education.
Orphan Education
We support students through 4 years of secondary school ensuring they have all the resources required to succeed.
Stories from our students
We recently launched the Girls Nest Club as part of our Orphan Education Programme. The event brought together all female students in Forms 2, 3 and 4. This initiative is designed to inspire confidence, nurture talents, and build resilience among young girls, equipping them with the skills and support they need to thrive.
Maintaining our orphan education programme has never been more challenging in the last 20 years than right now. Difficult decisions lay ahead yet we remain determined to change the story of Malawi where only 15% of young people complete secondary education.
For young people in Malawi, the barriers to completing Secondary Education can be challenging. In a country where only 15% complete Secondary Education the determination to succeed is impressive. The biggest barrier is poverty.
Our Orphan Education students came together recently for a day of motivation and encouragement. They were also blessed with a drama performance from Mbedza’s Hope Ambassadors as well as a distribution of Maize.
With important exams ahead of them, our year 2 students are more focussed than ever.
